Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Resonate ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Resonate is a LinkedIn content creation platform that uses AI to help you generate, manage, schedule, and publish professional content. The Service includes content idea generation, AI-assisted writing, post scheduling, LinkedIn outreach automation, and audience growth tools.

3. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
  • One person per account. Account sharing is not permitted.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, import, or generate through Resonate. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., generating AI suggestions, scheduling posts).

5. AI-Generated Content

  • AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and drafts. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before publishing.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
  • You are solely responsible for any content you publish to LinkedIn or other platforms through the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate spam, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content.
  • Violate LinkedIn's Terms of Service, User Agreement, or any third-party platform's rules.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
  • Use automated tools to bypass rate limits or usage restrictions.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

7. LinkedIn & Third-Party Integrations

  • When you connect LinkedIn or other third-party services, you authorize Resonate to access your data on those platforms within the scope you approve.
  • You may disconnect any integration at any time from Settings.
  • We are not responsible for any actions taken on third-party platforms as a result of your use of the Service.
  • You are responsible for complying with all third-party platform terms of service.

8. Outreach Automation

  • LinkedIn outreach features (connection requests) must be used responsibly and in compliance with LinkedIn's policies.
  • We provide rate limiting and safeguards, but you are ultimately responsible for ensuring your usage does not violate LinkedIn's terms.
  • We are not liable for any account restrictions imposed by LinkedIn as a result of your use of outreach features.

9. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe.
  • Free trials, when offered, convert automatically to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial period ends.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

10. Limitation of Liability

Resonate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, business opportunities, or reputation.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Resonate and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Data & Privacy.
  • Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Resonate. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in London, United Kingdom, except where prohibited by law.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
